Abbey’s Policies

Payment and Additional Fees:

Payment of services:
Payment is due in advance, to be paid no later than the first visit of the reserved series of visits.

Last Minute Booking Fee: 
Service scheduled 48 hours or less before initial visit is considered a “last minute” request, and client will be charged an additional $20.00 for said request.

Holiday Rates:
Visits on holidays will incur an additional $10.00 per day.
Holiday rates apply to Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day.

Key Policy:
It is a requirement that the Abbey’s have two keys during all service; one for the pet care provider and one for the Company as a back-up for emergencies.  Clients who do not wish for Abbey’s to retain keys will be charged $10.00 for pickup and $10.00 for delivery of keys for future service. 

Return of keys for new clients after first time service is complimentary.
    
Locksmith: 
In the event that Abbey’s must obtain a locksmith to gain entry into a Client’s home due to a malfunction of the lock or a failure of the Client to leave a key, the Client will be charged for all costs incurred in order to gain entry. 

Cancellation of Pet Sitting Visits:

No credit is given when client returns home with less than 48 hours of service remaining.

Cancellation of pet sitting service that includes a holiday: 
Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day  
        
If service is cancelled less than 96 hours in advance, client will be responsible for 100% of the fee for the period booked.
   
Cancellation of pet sitting service that does not include a holiday: 
If service is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, client will be responsible for 50% of the fee for the period  booked. 

Cancellation of Overnight Service:

No credit is given when client returns home with less than 48 hours of service remaining.

Cancellation of overnight service that includes a holiday: 
Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day

If service is cancelled less than 96 hours in advance, client will be responsible for 100% of the fee for the period booked.       

Cancellation of overnight service that does not include a holiday: 
If service is cancelled:
4 days before start date, client will be responsible for 25% of the fee for the period booked
3 days before start date, client will be responsible for 50% of the fee for the period booked
2 days before start date, client will be responsible for 75% of the fee for the period booked
24 hours or less before start date, client will be responsible for 100% of the fee for the period booked
